Welcome to the Canada Day MICA Islands Race July 1, 2024
The Race will start in Indian Point, sail around many of the islands under the stewardship of the Mahone Islands Conservation Association and finsih at Lunenburg Yacht Club with a Canada Day celebration BBQ!
This is a Pursuit Race so please make sure you know what class your boat is in and the start time of your boat. The name of your boat will be called one minute before start.
The Committee will be busy with the starting sequence from 1300 onwards. Please check-in either by sailing by and hailing the committee on the wharf or on channel 72 prior to 1300 hrs.
The Sailing Instructions have been amended for the starting sequence as follows
8.2 The first Boat(s) in class C will be started as per Rule 26 with 6 minute warning signal at 12:54
8.3 Each subsequent start in ALL classes will be given a one minute warning by Radio channel 72 and
the start will be with a sound signal from the committee wharf
Communications will be on VHF Channel 72
Information about moorings and berths at LYC are available from the dockmaster on channel 68
