INDIAN POINT YACHT CLUB

Spring has Sprung!

Spring has Sprung!

We are a little slow in getting out and about here at the Indian Point Yacht Club!
One would think that during this time of COVID-19 that there would be lots of time to work on planning summer activities and dreaming about lazy hazy crazy days on the water…however like many others a lot of time has been taken up with worrying about going to the grocery store and wondering if things will ever be back to the way they were.
Interested in a recap of all the fun we had last year?
As we were unable to have any shore side functions, our energy was spent in doing as much as we could on the water.
We were able to carry out a two month Tuesday evening series which was very well attended. You can view the results here.
Events were the Indian Point Regatta which was our first pursuit race and silly scavenger hunt view results here The Martins River Regatta and our first ever Venetian night, view results here and our final event was the infamous Fowl Run which lived up to everyone who participated expectations! View the results here
As always we could not do these events without the great volunteers that come out especially: Susan and Don, Bob, Chris and Debbie and Terry and Wendy. We were blessed with a variety of great start boats.
We had a spectacular visit from Bluenose ll and fully expect(hope) to have more of the same in 2021…you can follow their plans for Bluenose 100 at https://bluenose100.ca/

Plans for 2021
We have no expectations of any changes for 2021 from 2020 in pandemic rules, but being an incredibly flexible organization, we will roll with whatever comes our way and hope that one day we will see our USA, Bermudian and European friends again.
